The results of gamma-ray burst observations made in the 10 keV - 8 MeV range with Konus-B instrument on Granat spacecraft are presented. 19 gamma-ray bursts and 60 solar flares have been measured altogether in 27 days at a sensitivity level of 5×10

We analyze the data obtained when the Konus-Wind gamma-ray spectrometer detected a giant flare in SGR 1806-20 on December 27, 2004. The flare is similar in appearance to the two known flares in SGR 0526-66 and SGR 1900+14 while exceeding them signifi

A review is given of the gamma-ray burst energy spectrum measurements on Venera 11 and Venera 12 space probes. The gamma burst continuum approximates in shape thermal brems-strahlung emission of a hot plasma. The radiation temperature varies over a b

The pair annihilation radiation in gamma-ray bursts is seen as broad lines with extended hard wings. This radiation is suggested to escape in a collimated beam from magnetic polar regions of neutron stars.

A comparison of the 5 March 1979 event and other short gamma-ray bursts reveals considerable similarities in their features. This implies their common origin.

Observations on Venera 13 and 14, reported here, reveal a strong correlation between the temporal and spectral behaviour of the γ-ray bursts. The instantaneous luminosity of a -ray burst is determined primarily by its temperature. This implies that

The SP-2 experiment carried by the Vega spacecraft during their encounter with comet Halley was designed to determine the spatial distribution of cometary dust particles and their mass distribution over the range ∼10−16–10−6 g. The first infr
