An experimental determination was made of the phase sensitivity of two- and three-layer fiber waveguides to acoustic pressure at the optical wavelength λ = 0.63 μ. It was found that the sensitivity was μ=(k0l)-1∂/∂p = (1–2)×10−10 Pa−1.
