Electrotherapy with direct current (DC) was performed on two murine tumor models, fibrosarcoma SA-1 and melanoma B16. Three Pt/Ir cathodes were inserted directly into the subcutaneous tumors and two anodes subcutaneously in the vicinity of the tumor.
