The so called bipartite non-signaling boxes are systems whose statistics is constrained solely by the principle of no instantaneous signaling between distant locations. Such systems can exhibit much stronger correlations than those admitted by quantu

Detecting quantumness of correlations (especially entanglement) is a very hard task even in the simplest case i.e. two-partite quantum systems. Here we provide an analysis whether there exists a relation between two most popular types of entanglement

We prove the equivalence of two tensor products over a category of W*-algebras with normal (not necessarily unital) *-homomorphisms, defined by Guichardet and Dauns, respectively. This structure differs from the standard tensor product construction b

We show that the propositional system of a many-box model is always a set-representable effect algebra. In particular cases of 2-box and 1-box models it is an orthomodular poset and an orthomodular lattice respectively. We discuss the relation of the

In the quantum logic framework we show that the no-signaling box model is a particular type of tensor product of the logics of single boxes. Such notion of tensor product is too strong to apply in the category of logics of quantum mechanical systems.

We provide mathematicaly rigorous justification of using term "probability" in connection to the so called non-signalling theories, known also as Popescu's and Rohrlich's box worlds. No only do we prove correctness of these models (in the sense that t

We analyze the structure of the so called non-signaling theories respecting relativistic causality but allowing correlations violating bounds imposed by quantum mechanics such as CHSH inequality. We discuss relations among such theories, quantum mech

We use a new idea that emerged in the examination of exposed positive maps between matrix algebras to investigate in more detail the difference between positive maps on $M_2(C)$ and $M_3(C)$. Our main tool stems from classical Grothendieck theorem on

The so called \emph{quantum game theory} has recently been proclaimed as one of the new branches in the development of both quantum information theory and game theory. However, the notion of a quantum game itself has never been strictly defined, whic
