An improvement has been made on a liquid target preparation for an external proton beam PIXE which is regarded as an excellent technique for multi-elemental analysis. A 2 MeV proton beam taken out to the atmosphere through an exit Kapton foil bombard

The particle induced X-ray emission (PIXE) method was applied to the analysis of trace elements in a wood sample. The proton beam of 2.0 MeV was obtained from a Van de Graaff accelerator. Some surface treatments were made to increase the electronic c

A photon counting method has been developed for measuring the current fraction in a D 2 + −He + mixed ion beam. Photons produced by feeding Ar-gas into the beam course are counted through 486 nm- and 389 nm-filters, and the current fraction is inst

The accelerating tube with diametrically magnetized ring magnets for the bending of backstreaming electrons was constructed for the 4 MV Van de Graaff accelerator of Kyoto University. The X-ray yield due to the electron loading was reduced to a facto
