Integrating transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) monolayers with dielectric nanostructures exhibiting Mie-like resonances opens a plethora of opportunities in manipulating their excitonic emission in the near-field and far-field regimes, yielding in

We report for the first time the direct growth of molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) monolayers on nanostructured silicon-on-insulator waveguides. Our results indicate the possibility of utilizing the Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) on nanostructured photo

Transition-metal dichalcogenides [1] (TMDs) are particularly appealing for photonics due to their rich photophysical effects and strong light-matter-interaction per unit length [1] . Two-dimensional (2D) TMDs also exhibit strong optical nonlinearity

We experimentally investigate coupling of the photoluminescence (PL) from monolayers of MoS2 to Mie-resonant metasurfaces consisting of silicon nanocylinders. By a systematic variation of the nanocylinder diameter, we sweep the metasurface resonances
