Current density distributions in active integrated circuits (ICs) result in patterns of magnetic fields that contain structural and functional information about the IC. Magnetic fields pass through standard materials used by the semiconductor industr

We fabricated and characterized record small microdisk resonators in thin (210 nm) 3C-SiC film grown on Si (100) substrate. It was found to support high quality factor whispering gallery modes at visible wavelengths. We demonstrated room temperature

Using an inverse design method that explores the full design space of fabricable devices, we demonstrate a compact wavelength splitter with low insertion loss (2–4 dB), high contrast (12–17 dB), and a footprint of only 2.8 × 2.8 μm.
