Tensor network codes enable structured construction and manipulation of stabilizer codes out of small seed codes. Here, we apply reinforcement learning (RL) to tensor network code geometries and demonstrate how optimal stabilizer codes can be found.

Tensor-network codes enable the construction of large stabilizer codes out of tensors describing smaller stabilizer codes. An application of tensor-network codes was an efficient and exact decoder for holographic codes. Here, we show how to write som

We introduce a protocol to distribute entanglement between remote parties. Our protocol is based on a chain of repeater stations, and exploits topological encoding to tolerate very high levels of defects and errors. The repeater stations may employ p

Estimating the features of noise is the first step in a chain of protocols that will someday lead to fault-tolerant quantum computers. The randomized benchmarking (RB) protocol is designed with this exact mindset, estimating the average strength of n

An on-chip microwave circulator that is compatible with superconducting devices is a key element for scale-up of superconducting circuits. Previous approaches to integrating circulators on chip involve either external driving that requires extra micr

Majorana fermions act as their own antiparticle, and they have long been thought to be confined to the realm of pure theory. However, interest in them has recently resurfaced, as it was realized through the work of Kitaev that some experimentally acc
We develop a most likely error Pauli error decoding algorithm for stabiliser codes based on general purpose integer optimisation. Using this decoder we analyse the performance of holographic codes against Pauli errors and find numerical evidence for
