In situ climatological observations are essential for studies related to climate trends and extreme events. However, in many regions of the globe, observational records are affected by a large number of data quality issues. Assessing and controlling

Phenological data have become increasingly important as indicators of long-term climate change. Consequently, long-term homogeneity of the records is an important aspect. In this paper, we apply a breakpoint detection algorithm to the phenological se

Ablation climate studies were made at two locations in northern Greenland in the summers of 1993 and 1994, respectively. Daily ablation was measured at ten stakes within a small area, and the data were compared with each other to detect gross errors.
