Abstract In this article, new classes of functions based on new variations of metric-preserving functions are defined. Necessary and sufficient conditions for functions to be in these classes are also provided. As a result, we can explain relations b

In this paper, we define new classes of functions related to metrics and w-distances. We also provide characterizations of functions in these classes. As a consequence, we obtain relations between all classes.

Consider a finite ordered set [Formula: see text] whose order forms a zigzag. For an equivalence [Formula: see text] on [Formula: see text], let [Formula: see text] be the set of all order homomorphism preserving [Formula: see text]. In this paper, w

Consider a finite ordered set [Formula: see text] with a zig-zag order. In this paper, we consider the semigroup [Formula: see text] of all compressing-preserving transformations on [Formula: see text]. Necessary and sufficient conditions for [Formul

In this paper, we introduce the notion of a solvable triple of binary relations on a set. This notion generalizes the notion of a regular relation and all other notions that are variants of the notion of the regularity, defined previously by many peo

In this paper, we look at three common theorems in number theory: the Chinese remainder theorem, the multiplicative property of the Euler totient function, and a decomposition property of reduced residue systems. We use a grid of squares to give simp
