This paper describes a heterodyne optical spectrum analyzer with fast sweeping and high spectral resolution. It supports a sweep frequency of 160 Hz and a resolution of 2 pm using our unique wavelength sweep light source based on MEMS technology.

The controlled release of ethanol from a reservoir in the transdermal system was studied in order to ensure continuous drug permeation across the skin. The permeation of ethanol through various polymeric membranes was evaluated. The release rate of e
