International audience; We demonstrate the first application of the differential depolarization index (DDI) for depolarization imaging in polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT). Unlike the widely used degree of polarization unif

International audience; We demonstrate that the superior contrast of the differential depolarization index (DDI) compared with the degree of polarization uniformity makes DDI a promising candidate for characterizing depolarization with polarization-s

We report results on the first automated detection of basal cell carcinoma in human skin using polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography. Our classifier achieves a sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of 92.6%, 87% and 90%, respectively.

We report on the initial results of the first automated classifier to distinguish basal cell carcinomas and healthy skin using polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT) with a sensitivity and specificity of 84.2% and 85.8%.

We demonstrate the first system for optical coherence tomography (OCT) that enables simultaneous measurement of quantitative birefringence and strain in biological samples using a common-path configuration. Owing to its superior phase stability, comm
We report an automated classifier to detect the presence of basal cell carcinoma in images of mouse skin tissue samples acquired by polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT). The sensitivity and specificity of the classifier based

An automated, support-vector-machine classifier was developed to discriminate basal cell carcinoma from healthy mouse skin images obtained with polarization sensitive optical coherence tomography. The results demonstrate that polarization sensitive o

We demonstrate the first design and equations for quantitative measurements of birefringence in biological samples using a common-path polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography system.

We demonstrate a cross-dispersed spectrometer for Spectral Domain Optical Coherence Tomography (SD-OCT). The resolution of a conventional SD-OCT spectrometer is limited by the available sizes of the linear array detectors. The adverse consequences of

We report the first fully automated detection of basal cell carcinoma (BCC), the most commonly occurring type of skin cancer, in human skin using polarization-sensitive optical coherence tomography (PS-OCT). Our proposed automated procedure entails b
