The influence of imperfections in element length and loading on the dynamic buckling of plane trusses is investigated in the present study. Finite element formulation and the Euler formula are employed to tackle the problem of large displacements. Eq

This paper has developed a Finite Element Method (FEM) to calculate the dynamic response of a continuous sandwich beam resting on elastic support subjected to moving vehicles. The equation of motion is derived using the classical beam theory and FEM.

This paper applies the stochastic finite element method (SFEM) to perform the natural frequency analysis of functionally graded material (FGM). It is assumed that the elastic modulus and width of the FGM beam vary along the thickness and width direct

This study deals with the response variability of a beam resting on an elastic foundation using a stochastic finite element method (SFEM). Use of SFEM for a higher-order beam on an elastic foundation with a random field of elastic modulus is proposed
