The Transient Receptor Potential (TRP) constitutes a family of channels subdivided into seven subfamilies: Ankyrin (TRPA), Canonical (TRPC), Melastatin (TRPM), Mucolipin (TRPML), no-mechano-potential C (TRPN), Polycystic (TRPP), and Vanilloid (TRPV).

Bromelain, the main protease enzyme found in the pineapple plant (Ananas comosus), has had its antinociceptive effect previously demonstrated. This investigation aimed to appraise the role of TRP (Transient Receptor Potential) channels in the nocicep

Many bacteria encode multiple toxin–antitoxin (TA) systems targeting separate, but closely related, cellular functions. The toxin of the Escherichia coli hipBA system, HipA, is a kinase that inhibits translation via phosphorylation of glutamyl-tRNA

While the involvement of thermosensitive transient receptor potential channels (TRPs) in dry eye disease (DED) has been known for years, their expression in the meibomian gland (MG) has never been investigated. This study aims to show their expressio

Tryptophan synthase (TRPS) is a complex enzyme responsible for tryptophan biosynthesis. It occurs in bacteria, plants, and fungi as an αββα heterotetramer. Although encoded by independent genes in bacteria and plants, in fungi, TRPS is generated
