The basic notions of quantum mechanics are formulated in terms of separable infinite dimensional Hilbert space $\mathcal{H}$. In terms of the Hilbert lattice $\mathcal{L}$ of closed linear subspaces of $\mathcal{H}$ the notions of state and observabl

We study a classical realizability model (in the sense of J.-L. Krivine) arising from a model of untyped lambda calculus in coherence spaces. We show that this model validates countable choice using bar recursion and bar induction.

I recall how Martin Hofmann and I found the groupoid model of type theory in the early 1990s.

In this paper we revise and simplify the notion of observationally induced algebra introduced by Simpson and Schroeder for the purpose of modelling computational effects in the particular case where the ambient category is given by classical domain t

We discuss how triposes may be understood as generalizations of localic geometric morphisms.
Comment: We have added a remark on the correct notion of morphism between regular triposes and why they are closed under composition

Consistency with the formal Church’s thesis, for short CT, and the axiom of choice, for short AC, was one of the requirements asked to be satisfied by the intensional level of a two-level foundation for constructive mathematics as proposed by Maiet

A construction by Hofmann and Streicher gives an interpretation of a type-theoretic universe U in any Grothendieck topos, assuming a Grothendieck universe in set theory. Voevodsky asked what space U is interpreted as in Johnstone's topological topos.

We describe how to interpret constructive type theory in the topos of simplicial sets where types appear as Kan complexes and families of types as Kan fibrations. Since Kan complexes may be understood as weak higher-dimensional groupoids this model g

In a sequence of papers (Krivine 2001; Krivine 2003; Krivine 2009), J.-L. Krivine introduced his notion of classical realisability for classical second-order logic and Zermelo–Fraenkel set theory. Moreover, in more recent work (Krivine 2008), he ha

Ishiharaʼs boundedness principle BD - N was introduced in Ishihara (1992) [5] and has turned out to be most useful for constructive analysis, see e.g. Ishihara (2001) [6] . It is equivalent to the statement that every sequentially continuous functio
