A proton microscope has been developed for radiography applications using the 800-MeV linear accelerator at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE). The microscope provides a magnified image of a static device, or of a dynamic event such as a

A high-magnification high-resolution option is desirable for the study of small-scale dynamic experiments at the LANSCE 800-MeV Proton Radiography Facility. Magnification is achievable by either repowering the existing imaging-lens quadrupoles, using

The Advanced Hydrotest Facility is to provide a time sequence of multiple radiographic images using a proton beam produced by a 50-GeV synchrotron. We give an overview of the approaches devised to produce up to twelve simultaneous radiographic images

We describe an integrating cathode-pad read-out wire chamber for imaging high energy neutrons. This technology allows construction of a detector with a wide dynamic range, which is gatable, easily read out, and provides millimeter scale resolution. R

Tomography is the process of estimating an unknown two-dimensional density distribution from a set of its one-dimensional projections (views). The ability of Minerbo’s [1] maximum entropy tomography (MENT) algorithm to work with a very small number

The accuracy of density measurements and position resolution in flash (40 ns) radiography of thick objects with 24 Gev/c protons is investigated. A global model fit to step wedge data is shown to give a good description spanning the periodic table. T
