This study concerns the synthesis of 1-(2-ethoxyethyl)-4-oktynyl-4-hydroxypiperidine derivatives. The condensation of 1-(2-ethoxyethyl)-4-oxopiperidine with 1-oktyne by modified Favorskii reaction gave 1-(2-ethoxyethyl)-4-oktynyl-4-hydroxypiperidine.
