In central Texas, females of Ormia ochracea (Bigot) find hosts, Gryllus integer Scudder (Orthoptera), by homing on the hosts' calling songs. O. ochracea is abundant each fall in Alachua County, Florida, where G. integer does not occur. Gryllus rubens
