We explore the symmetry-breaking in cuprate high temperature superconductors (HTS) as a function of energy (117–2330 meV), doping, and temperature (30–300 K). We measure the Faraday rotation angle $\theta_{\mathrm{F}}$ of transmitted radiation th
Biased conclusions of long-term impact of Bt cotton published in Nature Plants March 2020 threatens to derail technological development. We therefore advocate integrating available technologies for sustainability of Bt adoption in India and prospecti

Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner, a gram positive aerobic bacterium, produces parasporal crystal (Cry) toxins that are highly specific and effective against insect species. During the course of isolation of native strains, B. thuringiensis AUG-5 was f
Meeting future food needs without compromising environmental integrity is a central challenge for agriculture globally but especially for the Asia Pacific region – where 60% of the global population, including some of the world's poorest, live on o

Cooperative management of pest susceptibility to transgenic Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) crops is pursued worldwide in a variety of forms and to varying degrees of success depending on context. We examine this context using a comparative socioecologic

Rising levels of antimicrobial and pesticide resistance increasingly undermine human health and systems for biomass production, and emphasize the sustainability challenge of preserving organisms susceptible to these biocides. In this Review, we intro

Though the insecticidal crystal (Cry) proteins produced by Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) are effective against insect pests, evolution of resistance remains an issue of great concern. Here, we explored the ability of pink bollworm, Pectinophora gossypi
