Introduction. Gestobutanoil is a synthetic pregnane steroid with gestagenic activity. Gestobutanoil has two pharmacologically active metabolites (AMOL and megestrol acetate). This implies the need for a detailed study of the kinetics of metabolites.

The ability of gestobutanoyl, a pregnane steroid with progestogenic activity, to exhibit additional glucocorticoid, mineralocorticoid, antiandrogenic, and estrogenic effects in rats has been studied. It was found that gestobutanoyl did not have estro
