Two-month experiments were carried out with carbon steel electrodes buried in an artificial sand wetted at 50–55% of saturation with a 0.07 mol L−1 Na2SO4·10H2O solution. Various protection potentials (corrected from the ohmic drop) were applied

When two streams of pedestrians cross at an angle, striped patterns spontaneously emerge as a result of local pedestrian interactions. This clear case of self-organized pattern formation remains to be elucidated. In counterflows, with a crossing angl

In this work we present results to the problem of the Hegselmann-Krause dynamics in networks obtained by an extensive study of the behavior of the standard order parameter sensitive to the onset of consensus: the normalized size of the giant cluster.

This article shows that random networks foster consensus in a bounded confidence opinion dynamics model by bringing together groups of agents whose difference of opinions is too large for them to interact, using the bridges in the network.
