We have shown previously that the 5′-capped short phosphodiester RNA fragments, Cap decoy, (Gm 12 nt) are potent inhibitors of influenza virus RNA polymerase gene expression. Here we investigate the modified capped RNA derivative containing phospho

Liposomally encapsulated phosphorothioate oligonucleotides with four target sites (PB1, PB2, PA, and NP) were synthesized and tested for inhibitory effects by a CAT-ELISA assay using the clone 76 cell line. The liposomally encapsulated phosphorothioa

We have demonstrated that antisense phosphodiester (ODNs) and phosphorothioate oligonucleotides (S-ODNs) inhibit CAT (chloramphenicol acetyltransferase) protein expression in the clone 76 cell line, which is a derivative of the murine C127 cell line.

Objective. To investigate the distribution of B cell autoepitopes of human DNA topoisomerase I (topo I), an autoantigen associated with scleroderma. Methods. A complementary DNA clone, T1B, was used to produce recombinant proteins of topo I as β-gal

The differential activation of cyclin and cyclin-dependent kinase genes by the adenovirus E1A gene product (E1A) or serum factors was studied with a rat 3Y1 derivative cell line, g12-21, in which the E1A12S cDNA can be expressed in response to dexame

A new in vivo replication system for influenza virus was developed by using the clone 76 cell line, in which the viral RNA polymerase and nucleoprotein genes can be expressed in response to dexamethasone. The chimeric NS-chloramphenicol acetyltransfe

The level of fibronectin (FN) gene expression is very high in resting rat 3Y1 cells but greatly decreased in adenovirus E1-transformed cells. To study the mechanism of this down-regulation, nuclear factors binding to the 5'-flanking region of the FN

In order to establish cell lines which complement the growth of temperature-sensitive (ts) mutants of influenza virus, three RNA polymerase and nucleoprotein (NP) genes each linked to the mouse mammary tumor virus LTR were cloned into the bovine papi

The human embryonal carcinoma cell line, NEC14, can be induced to differentiate by the addition of 10 −2 M N,N' -hexamethylene-bis-acetamide (HMBA). During the early stage of HMBA-induced differentiation, the level of N- myc expression decreased st
