We synthesized a highly selective ratiometric fluorescent chemodosimeter (1) for Hg2+ on the basis of the displacement reaction of phenylboronic acid with Hg2+ ions. The fluorescent chemodosimeter sensitively detected Hg2+ ions by two emission maxima
