Development of ovular structures in the `eucalypt group' (Eucalyteae, Myrtaceae) was investigated using scanning electron microscopy and light microscopy. Different modes of placental expansion account for the variation in initiation and arrangement

We have investigated the floral ontogeny of Arillastrum, Allosyncarpia, Stockwellia and Eucalyptopsis (of the eucalypt group, Myrtaceae) using scanning electron microscopy and light microscopy. Several critical characters for establishing relationshi

The eucalypt group includes seven genera: Eucalyptus, Corymbia, Angophora, Eucalyptopsis, Stockwellia, Allosyncarpia and Arillastrum. Knowledge of eucalypt phylogeny underpins classification of the group, and facilitates understanding of their ecolog

Our paper (Crisp et al. 2004) referred to by Ladiges and Udovicic (2005) is a broad review of the mid-Cenozoic radiation of the Australian sclerophyll flora from the perspective of molecular phylogenies. We presented new chronograms of four taxa (euc

2,4,6-Trimethoxytoluene has been isolated by steam distillation in yields of 80–89% (w/w) of leaf oil from fresh leaves of trees of the informal genus ‘ Stockwellia ’. Thirty-nine other compounds were detected in the steam volatile oil, which w
