Trifluoromethyl N,N-aminals were synthesized from nitrogen containing heterocycles in a R3SiCF3 solution, using an argon plasma in a flow microreactor. The transformation of the trifluoromethyl N,N-aminals to N-trifluoroethylamine is also reported.
