SUMMARY Nineteen patients with acute myelogenous leukaemia refractory to regimens including daunorubicin (relapsed or resistant to the induction treatment) received aclarubicin as single-agent chemotherapy in a dose of 40 mg/m2 daily for 5–7 days.
