With a real-time transponder, we assess the penalty on a 100 Gb/s 33 GBaud carrier through a series of sixteen 37.5 GHz-wide filters, and discuss to what extent this suits WDM mesh networks.

We transmit 78×400Gb/s PDM-64QAM 50GHz-spaced channels over one 90-km SSMF span with real time transponder, transporting 31.2 Tb/s with 8 bit/s/Hz spectral efficiency.

We demonstrate error-free transmission over 1800 km with 1 dB Q2-margins using a commercially available real-time 200 Gb/s PDM-8QAM transponder (44.8 GBaud) in a super-channel with carriers spaced by 50 GHz using legacy 50GHz-mux-demux stages.
