Abstract Single atom detection in nanoporous materials is a significant challenge, particularly due to their sensitivity to electron irradiation. Here, natural beryl (Be3Al2Si6O18) is used as a model system to quantitatively analyse the occupancy of

This work studied the microstructure and mechanical properties of Ti-6Al-4V in situ alloyed with 3 wt% Cr by laser powder bed fusion (LPBF). Specimens with a relative density of 99.14 ± 0.11% were produced, showing keyhole and lack of fusion pores.
