We present a simple, high-accuracy method for solving bound-state integral equations in momentum space with singular kernels. For the case of the linear-confining potential, the associated Cauchy-principal-value singularity is removed by subtraction.

Kinematic studies of protoplanetary discs are a valuable method for uncovering hidden companions. In the first paper of this series, we presented five morphological and kinematic criteria that aid in asserting the binary nature of a protoplanetary di

The CAGE-2 challenge is considered a standard benchmark to compare methods for autonomous cyber defense. Current state-of-the-art methods evaluated against this benchmark are based on model-free (offline) reinforcement learning, which does not provid

Transit functions were introduced as models of betweenness on undirected structures. Here we introduce directed transit function as the directed analogue on directed structures such as posets and directed graphs. We first show that betweenness in pos

Since 2019, GRAVITY has provided direct observations of giant planets and brown dwarfs at separations of down to 95 mas from the host star. Some of these observations have provided the first direct confirmation of companions previously detected by in

In this paper, we derive a new class of methods for the classic 2D phase unwrapping problem of recovering a phase function from its wrapped form. For this, we consider the wrapped phase as a wavefront aberration in an optical system, and use reconstr

The marginal ice zone (MIZ) represents the periphery of the sea ice cover. Here, the macroscale behavior of the sea ice results from collisions and enduring contact between ice floes. This configuration closely resembles that of dense granular flows,
