This work relates to the integration of the two-layer stack of the proposed multiferroic structure onto silicon substrates. Ba1-xSrxTiO3 is an excellent material for room-temperature voltage-tunable dielectric applications due to its high (ε=6000) d

AIP Advances, Vol 4, Iss 4, Pp 047104-047104-13 (2014)
Electronic spin transport properties of graphene nanoribbons (GNRs) are influenced by the presence of adatoms, adsorbates and edge functionalization. To improve the understanding of the factors that influence the spin properties of GNRs, local (eleme

Hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) has long been considered chemically inert due to its wide bandgap and robust covalent bonds. Its inertness hinders hBN from functionalization for energy conversion applications. A question arising is whether it is possib

The bulk van der Waals crystal Mn3Si2Te6 (MST) has been irradiated with a proton beam of 2 MeV at a fluence of 1×1018 H+ cm-2. The temperature dependent magnetization measurements show a drastic decrease in the magnetization of 49.2% in the H//c dir

We examine the magnetic properties of the quasi 2D ferrimagnetic single crystal Mn3Si2Te6 (MST) through critical phenomena and magnetic entropy analysis in the easy axis (H || ab) as a function of proton irradiance. Employing a modified asymptotic an

We demonstrate a significant pump helicity dependence in the amplitude of coherent Raman active phonon oscillations in the van der Waals magnet CrI3, revealing a strong non-equilibrium coupling between spin and structural order.
