In this study, the portfolio optimization problem is explored, using a combination of classical and quantum computing techniques. The portfolio optimization problem with specific objectives or constraints is often a quadratic optimization problem, du

International audience; The design of a high-performance guidance and control system for a small-scale helicopterUnmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), with an engine OFF flight condition (i.e. autorotation), is known to be a challenging task. It is the purp

The ℒ2-gap metric is a central component of the nu-gap (i.e. ν-gap) metric. The latter represents a good measure of the distance between systems in a closed-loop setting. For two Linear Time-Invariant (LTI) plants P1 and P2, the ν-gap is expresse

We present a helicopter flight dynamics nonlinear model for a flybarless, articulated, pitch–lag–flap (P–L–F) main rotor (MR) with rigid blades, particularly suited for small-scale unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The model incorporates the M

A main challenge, in the realm of vehicle guidance systems, consists in the on-line computation of accurate optimal trajectories. In particular, for high-bandwidth plants such as helicopter Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), stringent real-time timing

We present a flight dynamics nonlinear model for a flybarless helicopter UAV, valid for a range of flight conditions, including the Vortex-Ring-State (VRS) and autorotation. To allow for computational efficiency, while maintaining a high-level of mod

We derive the coupled flap-lag equations of motion, for a small-scale helicopter flybarless rotor, in the case of a rigid articulated Pitch-Lag-Flap (P-L-F) hinge arrangement. The (P-L-F) sequence is indeed much more useful for modeling the rotor dyn
