Cavitation erosion has been a serious problem in the use of turbomachineries such as ship propellers. In this paper, we proposed a technique to prevent cavitation erosion using electroless nickel-phosphorus plating (ENP). ENP was plated on JIS CAC703

We developed a novel recycling system for discharged FRP (Fiber reinforced plastics) of disused FRP boats, and demonstrated that the product manufactured by the system is available for the burning process in cement plant. In this system, the recycled

Thermal shock strength of laminated carbon-carbon (C/C) composite must be evaluated for an application to the components surrounded by a high temperature field. However, few studies have been done. This paper presents it by laser irradiation techniqu

The production of foamed aluminum has long been considered difficult to achieve because of problems such as the low foamability of the molten metal, the varying size of the cellular structures, and solidification shrinkage. Researchers have gradually

Thermal shock strength of carbon–carbon composite has not been evaluated yet. This paper presents it by laser irradiation technique newly developed for ceramics. Traditionally adapted quenching test has a big difficulty in which heat transfer coeff
