A record performance metric waveguide grating router (WGR) design with a 200 GHz free spectral range (FSR) capable of resolving sub-GHz resolution spectral features is developed for a fine resolution photonic spectral processor (PSP). The WGR's FSR w

In this invited presentation we will discuss the technologies developed by INSPACE in order to support the operation of spectrally-spatially flexible optical networks, focusing on spatial integration of elastic optical network switching elements, in

We introduce an ultra-dense network architecture designed for silicon photonics at the optical network unit (ONU). This network relies on only 3.333 GSa/s and 417 MSa/s converters at the OLT and ONU, respectively, and offers up to 12 Gbit/s of symmet

We compared two different mid-term migration scenarios for core network capacity scaling, realized using either multi-band or multi-fiber systems. We show, under realistic assumptions of current costs, that the multi-fiber system is more cost-effecti
