The present study aims to investigate the role of stimulus overlap on the Hebb repeititon effect, by manipulating the degree of item-overlap between the repeating list (i.e. Hebb list) and the non-repeating lists (i.e Filler lists).

It is well-known that statistical learning of visual symbol sequences occurs implicitly (Kim et al., 2009). Here, we examined whether people can learn the serial order of the visual symbols when they cannot perceive them. During the familiarization p

OBJECTIVE Recently, a general implicit sequence learning deficit was proposed as an underlying cause of dyslexia. This new hypothesis was investigated in the present study by including a number of methodological improvements, for example, the inclusi

The present study investigated long-term serial-order learning impairments, operationalized as reduced Hebb repetition learning (HRL), in people with dyslexia. In a first multi-session experiment, we investigated both the persistence of a serial-orde

This article reports on 2 studies that attempted to replicate the findings of a study by Szmalec, Loncke, Page, and Duyck (2011) on Hebb repetition learning in dyslexic individuals, from which these authors concluded that dyslexics suffer from a defi
