Laser and self-Raman laser characteristics of LD pumped PbMoO4:Nd3+ and SrMoO4:Nd3+ crystals have been investigated. Competitive efficiency in free-running, Q-switched, and self-Raman modes for molibdate crystals was demonstrated.
