Three-roll-push-bending is a kinematic forming process which enables individual manufacture of spatially bent parts. However, producing parts without shape deviations to the target geometry is a non-trivial task as the bending contour is mainly influ

Three-roll-push-bending (TRPB) is an innovative and flexible freeform bending process for the manufacturing of tube geometries with a continuous distribution of curvature along the bending line. The shaping is done kinematically, which means that the

Plasmas growing or containing nanometric dust particles are widely used and proposed in plasma technological applications for production of nano-crystals and surface deposition. Here, we give a compact review of in situ methods for the diagnostics of

Kinematic bending processes such as three-roll-push-bending are used to manufacture freeform bent part systems. Due to the kinematic shaping, the bent parts have a characteristic infeed and outfeed area in the transition zone from the straight sectio

Nanoparticles grown in reactive plasmas and nanodusty plasmas gain high interest from basic science and technology. One of the great challenges of nanodusty plasmas is the in-situ diagnostic of the nanoparticle size and refractive index. The analysis

During the bending of tubes, specific geometric deviations from the desired shape geometry occur. These deformations comprise cross-sectional deformation, wall-thinning of the outer arc and wall-thickening of the inner arc. During the bending of part

The growth of nanometer-sized particle populations is studied in a reactive argon-acetylene plasma. Particular attention is paid to the spatio-temporal evolution of nested particle populations. For this purpose, a new non-invasive 2D imaging ellipsom

A novel approach of using microparticles as probes for the sheath structure of radio-frequency discharges is presented. Starting with a heavy (large) particle confined deep in the plasma sheath, the ambient plasma causes a continuous mass loss, which
