This paper briefly reviews recent progress in product imaging studies of photodissociation and bimolecularreaction dynamics. The SO2 + hv SO(3Σ−) + O(3P2) channel in the ultraviolet photodissociation of sulfur dioxide at photolysis wave lengths be

Gas-phase photodissociations of cyclopropyl iodide were conducted at 266 and 279.7 nm, and the radical products were probed by multiphoton ionization, with imaging of the resulting ions and their corresponding electrons. Solution-phase photodissociat

Resonance-enhanced multiphoton ionization with time-of-flight product imaging has been used to study the SO2 + hν → SO(3Σ-) + O(3P2) channel in the ultraviolet photodissociation of sulfur dioxide at photolysis wavelengths between 202 and 207 nm.

Technical Digest. Summaries of Papers Presented at the Quantum Electronics and Laser Science Conference.
Summary form only given. The technique of ion imaging can be used to determine the state distribution of photofragment after a photodissociation process has occurred. A molecular beam of the parent molecule is prepared and then crossed by lasers whic
