We analyzed all cases of tuberculosis reported in North Carolina between 1966 and 1986, and related the incidence rate of tuberculosis (per 100,000 population) to age (0 to 4 years, 7.59; 5 to 14 years, 3.44; 15 to 24 years, 6.30; 25 to 44 years, 15.
