This study was performed in 11 patients undergoing cardiac surgery during cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). A Bentley-10 oxygenator (American Bentley, Irvine, CA) was used during bypass, and 1,500 mL of Ringer's solution was used to prime the oxygenator.
