The mechanisms by which cells determine their position within the 3D space are poorly understood. Research in salamanders offers fresh insights into this question, uncovering Tig1 as a central determinant of proximo-distal identity in regeneration.

Defects in neural crest development cause neurocristopathies and cancer, but what regulates this is unclear. Here, the authors show that glycogen synthase kinase 3 (GSK3) regulates migration of neural crest cells, as shown on genetic deletion of GSK3

Neuroblastoma is one of the most common and deadly childhood cancers. Neuroblastoma arises from transformed cells of the neural crest lineage. Outcomes of the disease vary greatly, ranging from spontaneous regression to aggressive metastases. While t

Salamander limb regeneration is an accurate process which gives rise exclusively to the missing structures, irrespective of the amputation level. This suggests that cells in the stump have an awareness of their spatial location, a property termed pos

Over the past several decades there has been an increased availability of genetically modified mouse models used to mimic human pathologies. However, the ability to study cell movements and differentiation in vivo is still very difficult. Neurocristo

Migration of the neural crest lineage is critical to its physiological function. Mechanisms controlling neural crest migration are comparatively unknown, due to difficulties accessing this cell populationin vivo. Here, we uncover novel requirements o

Drug Metabolism and Disposition
We have previously identified flavin-containing monooxygenase 5 (FMO5) as a regulator of metabolic aging. The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of FMO5 in glucose homeostasis and the impact of diet and gut flora on the phenotype of
