The instrumentation in Hall A at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility was designed to study electro-and photo-induced reactions at very high luminosity and good momentum and angular resolution for at least one of the reaction products.

The fission angular distributions for the systems {sup 9}Be+{sup 232}Th, {sup 235}U have been measured at {ital E}{approximately}50 and 53 MeV. The measured fission fragment anisotropy values are in good agreement with the expectations of a standard
