We report the results of a precision absolute elastic electron scattering on carbon from which we determine the shape of the ground-state charge distribution and the rms charge radius to an accuracy significantly better than heretofore achieved.

A search for the lowest-energyT = 2 state in14C has been attempted employing inelastic electron scattering techniques. Spectra obtained at 61 and 81 MeV incident-electron energy and 145.7° scattering angle fail to reveal significant structure at the

Inelastic scattering cross sections of low-lying levels and elastic scattering cross sections have been measured in $^{88}\mathrm{Sr}$ and $^{89}\mathrm{Y}$ using the National Bureau of Standards Linac and electron scattering facility. Incident-elect

Electron scattering form factors have been measured for the first six excited states in $^{14}\mathrm{N}$ and for the 2.429-MeV (${\frac{5}{2}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$) level in $^{9}\mathrm{Be}$. The form factors for the lowest $T=1$ level in $^{14}\mathr

The inelastic electron scattering cross sections for the excitation of the low-lying collective states in the even Zn isotopes 64 Zn, 66 Zn, 68 Zn and 70 Zn have been measured in the momentum transfer region q = 0.3–1.1 fm −1 . Strong transitions

The continuum spectra of $^{3}\mathrm{He}$ have been measured up to excitation energies of 40 MeV by means of inelastic electron scattering. Incident electron beam energies between 60 and 120 MeV were used, corresponding to a momentum transfer range

Electrons at five energies between 60 and 120 MeV were used to study the giant electric-dipole and -quadrupole resonances in /sup 20/Ne. Prominent electric-dipole peaks were found at 17.7, 19.1, 20.2, and 23 MeV in good agreement with photoreaction r
