Current DNA-based data storage platforms encode information only in the nucleotide sequence. Here, the authors report a 2DDNA platform that can store data in both sequence context and backbone structure, and has improved image inpainting and enhancem

DNA-based data storage platforms traditionally encode information only in the nucleotide sequence of the molecule. Here we report on a two-dimensional molecular data storage system that records information in both the sequence and the backbone struct

FIVE THOUSAND YEARS AGO, a man died in the Alps. It's possible he died from a blow to the head, or he may have bled to death after being shot in the shoulder with an arrow. There's a lot we don't know about Otzi (named for the Otztal Alps, where he w

The main obstacles for the practical deployment of DNA-based data storage platforms are the prohibitively high cost of synthetic DNA and the large number of errors introduced during synthesis. In particular, synthetic DNA products contain both indivi

We provide an overview of current approaches to DNA-based storage system design and of accompanying synthesis, sequencing and editing methods. We also introduce and analyze a suite of new constrained coding schemes for both archival and random access

We describe the first DNA-based storage architecture that enables random access to data blocks and rewriting of information stored at arbitrary locations within the blocks. The newly developed architecture overcomes drawbacks of existing read-only me

In this paper, we investigate optimal coding strategies for a class of linear deterministic relay networks. The network under study is a relay network, with one source, one destination, and two relay nodes. Additionally, there is a disturbing source
