The use of a nonylphenoxypolyethoxylate (Antarox CO-880) as a support polymer is confirmed as a means of prolonging the life (to >50 d) of pyridoxine hydrochloride as a sensitive sorbent coating during the piezoelectric crystal detection of ammonia.
