Cellulose and m-aramid were dissolved in an ionic liquid, and dry-jet wet spinning was employed to prepare composite fibers which could be rendered antimicrobial through exposure to chlorine bleach. The small domains of the m-aramid allowed a much hi

The structures of two substituted oxazolidinones, namely, 4-hydroxymethyl-4-methyloxazolidin-2-one [C5H9NO3, (1)] and 4-ethyl-4-hydroxymethyloxazolidin-2-one [C6H11NO3, (2)], are reported. Bond distances in the two structures are almost identical.

Ab initio theoretical computations have been performed for RhN2, Rh+N2, Rh(N2)2, and Rh+(N2)2 species. The computed vibrational frequencies and binding-energy trends are in qualitative accord with prior FTIR studies of N2 interacting with supported R

High-pressure infrared spectroscopy has been used to study the interaction of N 2 with supported Rh films as a function of temperature and pressure. Adsorption equilibrium constants for N 2 on Rh/X (X=TiO 2 , Al 2 O 3 , SiO 2 ) at 298 K were 0.376, 0
