We analyze the security against collective attacks for a homodyne-based continuous-variable quantum key distribution protocol using binary coherent states and postselection. We derive a lower bound of the secret key rate in an asymptotic scenario, an

Quantum key distribution (QKD) can offer communication with unconditional security and is a promising technology to protect next generation communication systems. For QKD to see commercial success, several key challenges have to be solved, such as in

We report the first on-line high-speed and large-capacity secure optical communication system. This was realized by combining a quadrature amplitude modulation/quantum noise stream cipher technology where a coherent multi-level optical signal is hidd

We discuss impairments and design of fiber links supporting co-propagation of quantum key distribution and classical signals.
We have developed a method to calculate a secret key rate of a continuous-variable quantum-key-distribution scheme using four coherent states and postselection for a general model of Gaussian attacks. We assume that the transmission line and detectio

We study coexistence of CV-QKD and 7 classical 12.5 Gbit/s on-off keying channels in WDM transmission over the C-band. We demonstrate key generation with a distilled secret key rate between 20 to 50 kbit/s in experiments running continuously over 24

We study the impact of in-band ASE noise on the performance of CV-QKD over 10 km of fiber. We demonstrate co-propagation of CV-QKD and 3.5 Tbit/s classical coherent channels and show stable key generation over 48 hours.

We investigate a quantum repeater scheme for quantum key distribution based on the work by Muralidharan et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 112, 250501 (2014). Our scheme extends that work by making use of error syndrome measurement outcomes available at the re
