We propose and analyze a novel regenerative amplifier free electron laser (FEL) to produce fully coherent x-ray pulses. The method makes use of narrow-bandwidth Bragg crystals to form an x-ray feedback loop around a relatively short undulator. Self-a

The Two-Beam Accelerator concept is one of the most promising methods for producing RF power for future linear colliders. In particular it allows upgrades to multi-TeV energies. One of its challenges is the production of the high current drive beam,

We discuss a new approach to two-beam acceleration. The energy for RF production is initially stored in a long-pulse electron beam which is efficiently accelerated to about 1.2 GeV by a fully loaded conventional, low-frequency (approx. 1 GHz) linac.
