Porous materials can be modified with physical barriers to control the transport of ions and molecules through channels via an external stimulus. Such capability has brought attention toward drug delivery, separation methods, nanofluidics, and point-

The selectivity of single-amino acid nanosensors is still not well understood. Herein, the factors that govern graphene-based nanomaterials for the selective detection of lysine are reported to guide the design of single-amino acid nanosensors. Graph

A novel label-free Forster resonance energy transfer (FRET) sensor was developed from graphene oxide (GO) functionalized with doxorubicin (DOX) for selective and sensitive detection of dopamine (DA). Due to the competitive adsorption of DOX and DA on

The authors describe a rationally designed nanoprobe for the fluorometric determination of lysine. It is based on a ternary complex consisting of graphene oxide, aluminum ions (acting as a bridging agent), and alizarin red (GO-Al-AR). The fluorescenc

A new highly selective chemosensor for Ag+ ions was designed and synthesized by covalently introducing well-known fluorophore 1,8-diaminonaphthalene (DAN) onto graphene oxide (GO) sheets. The resultant fluorescent sensor 1,8-diaminonaphthalene-graphe

A pH-sensitive, nanostructured antitumor drug, GO-CONH-Schiff base (GCS), was prepared from the chitosan-xanthone Schiff base (CS)-modified graphene oxide (GO) complex. The successful synthesis of GCS was confirmed using various spectroscopic techniq
