Symmetry is fundamental in the description and simulation of quantum systems. Leveraging symmetries in classical simulations of many-body quantum systems often results in an exponential overhead due to the exponentially growing size of some symmetry

Quantum signal processing (QSP) is a methodology for constructing polynomial transformations of a linear operator encoded in a unitary. Applied to an encoding of a state $\rho$, QSP enables the evaluation of nonlinear functions of the form $\text{tr}

The neutron-rich unbound fluorine isotope $^{30}$F$_{21}$ has been observed for the first time by measuring its neutron decay at the SAMURAI spectrometer (RIBF, RIKEN) in the quasi-free proton knockout reaction of $^{31}$Ne nuclei at 235 MeV/nucleon.

The spread of microbial infections is governed by the self-organization of bacteria on surfaces. Limitations of live imaging techniques make collective behaviors in clinically relevant systems challenging to quantify. Here, novel experimental and ima

We measure the trajectories of macroscopic magnetic particles pulled against gravity between twisted alternating magnetic square patterns in a superposed homogeneous magnetic field normal to both patterns. The two patterns are built from a set of mag

The Gaia mission has provided us full astrometric solutions for over 1.5B sources. However, only the brightest 34M of those have radial velocity measurements. As a proof of concept, this paper aims to close that gap, by obtaining radial velocity esti

Despite significant advances in quantum algorithms, quantum programs in practice are often expressed at the circuit level, forgoing helpful structural abstractions common to their classical counterparts. Consequently, as many quantum algorithms have

Quantum Signal Processing (QSP) has emerged as a promising framework to manipulate and determine properties of quantum systems. QSP not only unifies most existing quantum algorithms but also provides tools to discover new ones. Quantum signal process

The study of classical algorithms is supported by an immense understructure, founded in logic, type, and category theory, that allows an algorithmist to reason about the sequential manipulation of data irrespective of a computation's realizing dynami

Quantum singular value transformation (QSVT) enables the application of polynomial functions to the singular values of near arbitrary linear operators embedded in unitary transforms, and has been used to unify, simplify, and improve most quantum algo
