In this paper the randomized Cauchy-Euler differential equation is studied. With this aim, from a statistical point of view, both the first and second probability density functions of the solution stochastic process are computed. Then, the main stati

The calibration and performance of the LHCb Calorimeter system in Run 1 and 2 at the LHC are described. After a brief description of the sub-detectors and of their role in the trigger, the calibration methods used for each part of the system are revi

In this paper a randomized version of the Beverton-Holt type discrete model is proposed. Its solution stochastic process and the random steady state are determined. Its first probability density function and second probability density function are ob

This paper deals with the study, from a probabilistic point of view, of logistic-type differential equations with uncertainties. We assume that the initial condition is a random variable and the diffusion coefficient is a stochastic process. The main

The study of the dynamics of the size of a population via mathematical modelling is a problem of interest and widely studied. Traditionally, continuous deterministic methods based on differential equations have been used to deal with this problem. Ho

We present an approach to construct position-sensitive silicon detectors with an integrated cooling circuit. Tests on samples demonstrate that a very modest liquid flow very effectively cool the devices up to a power dissipation of over 10~W/cm$^2$.

A summary is presented of the workshop "top physics at linear colliders" that was held at IFIC Valencia from the 30th of June to the 3rd July 2015. We present an up-to-date status report of studies into the potential for top quark physics of lepton c
